If there is anyone who knows a step by step method to check the bias on the SRZ-65 RH Large Box. It would be greatly appreciated. I want to thank benttop for making me aware that my amp is not a cathode biased amp it's a Class AB which requires adjustment. I found the Bias Pot in the Chassis and I'm very trained with Electrical components, being that I am a Comm/industrial AC/Boiler Tech of 20 years, I think I can do it myself. I have adjusted my Fender amps, but I'm not quite sure which color wire to measure on the Transformer and which Trans, I have no Diagram either. Any help is Greatly appreciated. I just put a fairly expensive set of NOS Tubes in about a month ago, The amp sounds Great however, I dont want to spend another $120.00 I'm also a firm beleiver in AMERICAN TUBES IF POSSIBLE!!! All my preamp amp tubes are Black plate RCA or Sylvania, Nothing against groove or any other Manufacure but, try the US made tubes and you'll hear the difference.

Well it's not the SRZ, but the process described on this Guitargeek.com page is more or less how I do it. Be careful in there - you can be killed, even when the amp is shut off and unplugged from the wall. Keep one hand in your back pocket at all times (prevents current flowing through your heart if you should happen to touch ground with one hand and voltage with the other). Obey all traffic signs, and wait for the cars before you use the crosswalk.... oops, wrong warning. Also, check Duncan Amps Bias Page for a similar set of instructions without the photos. Same method though.

It would be better if I had a Schematic. The amp sosunds Great but, I just want to make sure I'm running in the safe zone! Thanks , I'll keep posted on my progress! Thanks for the info sheet, BIG TIME!!! I owe ya one!

Yeah I actually saw it at the very last minute that I was sending you the PM. I will check it for a second time with my other meter but, The simplified method was right on the $$$! Thanks so much. I hope this thread will be becificial to others as well. It was a simple misread mistake and I was at fault, thank goodness everything was working like a clock or could have been disaterous.

Some times we luck out on this. It's the other times you have to be vigilant about.
