Hey guys! I'm going to apologize in advance... ;D I'm writing to gush over my GT again. It's probably been a month or so... Tonight, at band rehearsal, we started doing some Stones covers. I've been working on them all week. It's some of Keef's open G tuned stuff. I took my least used guitar, a Guild Blues 90 (Single-cut w/ Duncan hot P90s), and tuned it to open G. I've been working on the songs at home through my son's Roland Micro Cube (yeah, I know, I need a Mini Z...). My GT has been my Go-To amp lately, but I haven't run the P90s through it. For my Strat, I have the amp set w/ Tone and Vol a little better then Noonish w/ the Air Brake set on 4 or 3 to get me some nice break-up w/ the single coils. When I ran the Guild Blues 90 through it at those settings, it was a little noisy due to the hot P90s. I backed off the Tone and Vol to around 9:30-10:00. It sounded absolutely amazing. It was some of the best Stones TONE I've heard. Backing off the Vol gave some nice clarity and reduced a good bit of the noise from the hot single coils. But it still had some Stones bite and raunch. Brown Sugar and Can't You Hear Me Knocking sounded like Keef was playing, not some chubby hack... I know it sounds cheesy, but my GT has made me a better player. It inspires me and helps me to move beyond myself and my playing. Doc,... You are the Master!

I'm still lovin' the P-90 / Z combo with the my two Juniors. Just a touch of compression, then goose it with the Flying Dragon and I have to force myself to play anything besides 'Mississippi Queen'! You know, if you're playing that GT so much and need someone to take the Maz off your hands...

It's been doing nothing but gathering dust at my house for the last few months. If you want 'er for a while, PM or call me. She has been getting lonely... Rich
