It seems most folks don't dig the wood panel front -- but I think its a sharp looker. I bought it used in April '04 and she still purrs and chews up tone like nothing I've ever heard.

Personally I don't care much for the wood panel but as long as you like it that is all that matters. I know it still sounds just as good though. THis was my old Route 66. I love the way it looks. When my Z Best gets here I'll post pics of my new 66

I love the wood panel, but the one I have on the way kinda looks like the one above, but with gold where the dials are. It's very Marshallesque in its styling.

One question: does anyone turn their 2x12 cab to a horizontal/wide stance? And is it possible to turn the Z upright if you do decide to put it in a wide stance (because obviously turning the amp like that will make the Z on its side)?
