So, I currently own an EL-34 Bogner Shiva and am thinking of selling it and picking up an EZG-50, but I have a few questions first. To explain, I'm an SRV fanatic in a cover band that plays a lot of modern stuff, so I bought the Shiva to cover more ground, but am just not satisfied with the tone of the Shiva sometimes. I'm looking for a pure, Fender-esque clean and am tired of making concessions in other amps. Plus, I figure I can do marshall type stuff with pedals.
So, on to the questions. I've been lurking on here for a while and I hear everyone talking about how much bass the EZ has. I know you can dial it out and there is still quite a bit of bass, but will it be too much with my closed-back, bluesbreaker style 4x12? The cab is a very well-built MojoTone and currently has 2 Warehouse Guitar Speakers Veteran 30's, one Vintage 30, and one g12H30. I am working on getting another G12h in there to replace the Vintage 30. My other question is how bright/punchy is this thing? To me, playing a Fender Twin is physically tiring because it is so ear shatteringly bright and in your face punchy. On the other hand I love a Super. So where is the EZ? Super or Twin or something else entirely?
Thanks in advance for your time.
Justin

For reference' sake...
Thanks to another member of the forum, I have been lucky enough to borrow and thoroughly try out an EZG with my 4x12 and pedals and just wanted to report.
In short, it sounds amazing. Definitely can do SRV, but to my surprise, with my two humbucker guitar and a Fulltone OCD, can do just about any Marshall sound I want, but with tighter bass and more definition than my Shiva. I'm still tinkering, but at this point, it looks like the Shiva is out as soon as I can sell it. I can't wait to have my own EZG.

I don't have a 412 but that would be great to hear! Best of luck on the tone quest...

I ran my EZG through both 4x12 EVH III cab and a 4x10 Z cab - both sound great. The 4x10s break up a little earlier than 4x12.
Paul - you'll have to get over here to try out the EZG through both - as an added feature, I just picked up a Delta 88 - a lot fun through those two as well!!
