I might have a deal going involving a trade with my 6545. It is a bit hard to find the going price for these, as there aren't many on the used marked. I was going to use $1,700 as the price in my calculations. Does that seem reasonable or is it way off (high or low)? The latest reviewer on harmony central said they paid $2,100 - that seems higher than I've seen, but I don't want to be giving it away by using $1,700. By the same token, I'm not looking to make a profit - I'm just looking for a fair price.

I paid $1500 for mine, and it's in really nice cosmetic condition... but it's also making a humming sound right now and might have had issues when I bought it (unsure). As I recall, I also talked him down a bit from $1650 or something... I would think that somewhere around $1700 would be reasonable, but it could really vary by a few hundred dollars, seeing as how they're quite rare and not made anymore. If you're sure you want to part with it, it's probably not a bad price right now (Are you sure you want to?), but it might go up in the future... Look over Harmony Central a bit more to get a feel for the prices, and remember that they should have only gone up from the older ones... since it's a rare amp and has a good rep amongst owners. It's 2 Z amps in 1, right?!

$1700 should be fair for a trade. They were going for a little more than that, then dropped to a little less than that with the economic drop.

I've seen them go for $1900-$2200 with a flight case, so $1800-$1900 is right in the ballpark of FMV for a head alone, depending on what you value the flight case at. Great amp, if you don't sell it, PM me.
