Been gigging for a few months now with my red EZ, either with the 4x10 or 1x12, and one thing I'm seeing, over and over........
There hasn't been a time yet where someone doesn't come up to me after and say "What IS that amp, man?.......sounds AMAZING!"
Not all are guit players.......and unfortunately, not a one (players included) have had any idea about Dr Z. But I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few Google searches soon after.
Today, at an outdoor township show with my Jump/Blues band, there were 4 folks who came right up to ask about it. Turns out one had been a friend of Cesar Diaz, and he said "You have no idea......Cesar would have been in HEAVEN hearing that tonight." I was honored.
I keep saying, it's an amp with a HUGE soundstage. Even when it's not too loud (which it sure can be, if you're not careful), it is ridiculously big and full, even outside....but clear sounding, too.
Of course, maybe people just dig it because it's RED?

Mine is red and black with the matching cab. At shows, people are almost as smitten with it as I am!
Also, lots of guitarists in my area (the plains/midwest) don't really now about Z-Amps and I hardly ever see people playing them at shows. I think many people just don't know how great they are and how fun it is to experiment with different Z amps and cabs. I imagine in time, more people will get wise to the Z-Amps, especially after comparing them to the current crop of disappointing Fenders and Mesa/Boogies that I see more regularly.

Hey Jimfog:
I was driving home from work last night, when I heard some good music coming off the sidewalk. I turned my head to see what it was all about and saw a 1x12 old Z cab (red, I couldn't miss it). Knowing I had to stop to listen, I drove around the block and parked. When I got to the scene I found that people were literally throwing money down on the sidewalk at the band. Well, three dollars anyway; it was early! Seriously, great sound and nice tone. Wish I could have hung around to talk more.

I played that rig today at a big outdoor show, and it was like coming home. Thanks for the nice words and checking us out! - Jim
