Sounds great, very clean, bottom end is very tight. This amp loves my Tele but was not as friendly with my 335. I had to do a lot of adjusting to dial in a tone. Didn't have alot of time but I'll be using it tonite.

I've found that with my humbucker guitars, 335 and les paul, you have to run some more treble with the EZG. you may also try turning the bass knob off. I usually don't run any bass with my humbucker guitars through the EZG. Sounds strange, but there is still plenty of bass. Just some things to try. hope things go well tonight for you.

Run the bass of and crank the treble- there's no Bright switch like on the old Fenders but it doesn't need one.

I only played my Tele thru the amp last nite. Everyone's right, this thing is Loud. I keep it governed the first set, didn't want to blow the band away. Later on I maxed out the pre with post at about 9-10 and mercy it has some serious meanness. I'm thinking maybe a 1-12 cab with the EZG would be an absolute monster for small venues....all in all...I think...I know...I am very, very pleased with this amp!!!

This amp has monstrous power, gonna be very few venues where I can unleash the beast. I'm on the waiting list for a Kingsley Jester. I don't use pedals but am hoping the Jester just might be the ticket for natural sounding tube overdrive at lower volumes.

I'm actually having a bit of a difficult time doing that... not to say that pedals don't sound good through this amp, because they certainly do, but the key word is 'natural'. While I love the sound of my OCD with the EZG, It doesn't sound completely natural to me. It wouldn't and it can't. I also have a Barber Small Fry, which is more supposedly natural sounding, and while this also sounds pretty good, it's not quite making it either. For leads, it's great! But for chording and rhythm playing, it's a bit boxy sounding to my ears....I find that it's harder to get a mild OD sound than a heavier one... I don't have the money or the patience for testing out multiple $150-plus dollar pedals.
So, this poses a question... with a humbucker, would I maybe achieve this using an airbrake? Has anyone had success with this?
I really do love this amp.... I just want a small amount of dirt! It's SO loud!

I need to spend some time tweaking my 335 and this amp. It just didn't seem to mate well with my Gibson when I first tried it. Maybe with a little more foreplay I can find it's sweet spots for the 335.

I don't think you can get this amp to overdrive as much as my BF Super at a feasible volume. I dimed the pre and with post between 9-10 it got close but was extremely loud. Maybe..."The Twin That Never Was" would be more suitable....

I don't disagree........BUT a 1x12 helps a LOT .....that 4x10 is VERY loud, efficient and punchy. an attenuator works very well. I'm running a Weber Mini-Mass, at times.

I have to say that I had my doubts with the Jester as I have been through so many overdrives but the Jester really is the answer. It is pricey and a long waiting list but it is the last overdrive I will ever buy. It was made for the EZG50 and turned it into a multi channel amp.

Played my 335 through the EZG this past weekend. Got great overdrive and tone from the amp without any volume problems. Pre at 2 O'clock - Post at 10 O'clock. For clean tone I simply inverted the pre and post settings.
