Well... after only a few short months I had to let the GT go, damn it! Financial constraints forced the sale of my GT to a new member (very nice guy to deal with and very helpful). I have owned, at one time or another a Rt66, Maz jr, Galaxie and GT. Each very cool and I wish I could have kept them all BUT the GT was my fav! Once the storm passes I think I will hunt down another GT along with a series one Maz and run them together. Keep rocken GT owners and keep moving some serious air. Enjoy it Mike.... it is really one freaken sweet amp. Peace out!

Thanks for the kind words, Merks! And it was a pleasure doing business with you. I WILL give her a very nice home, believe me. But she is gonna get used... , particularly this weekend. I have this 2X12 with Scumbacks that I'm dying to try with it. I do know what you mean, though. I'm in Michigan, and this "storm" is raging. Our state released figures last week that unemployemnt is at 14.1% and rising. I have relatives in Florida...West Palm area, and they tell me that Florida is in very tough shape. This will pass. This is merely a lull in the Gear Acquisition Syndrome that we have all been afflicted with. Peace brother.

Don't feel too bad - there is a new Ghia GT combo coming out around year-end that is a basically an 18 watt Mazarati GT - way cool!

I played-out yesterday with the GT, Dr. Z Attenuator, PRS Grissom, 4X12 Egnater cabinet (w/ V30's) and a very cool Fromel Shape EQ pedal. Took the rig to a local music store and everyone had a blast. That Shape EQ was very cool...gave me the ability to cut the mids to give (almost) a Blackfaced tone variation, but very smooth and glassy at the same time. The Grissom's pickup's are very hot, probably too much. I also used a Telecaster with single coils...much more note definition. The amp Friggin Smokes! One of the best (most fun) amps I've played through and I own alot of stuff -- Matchless, Two-Rock, Juke, Louis Electric, XITS, and others. I've owned the good Doctor's wares before (Rt. 66, original Prescription, and Maz 38 Sr.). Second dumbest thing I every did was let that Rt. 66 go. But I have to say, this is the amp for me. Everyone who looked at the amp couldn't believe the size of the OT on this thing. Alot of iron and alot of balls. I will try and post some clips when I get more time. Classic rock/rockin' blues in a box.
Cheers!

Our singer is recovering from knee surgery. We're tentatively scheduled to practice tomorrow. If we do, I'll use the GT and open 'er up some. ;D
