I'm thinking of selling my Marshall 2x12 in favour of a Z-Best. Anybody using one with a KT45? I'm going to be doing Pink Floyd covers with it. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!!

I had three Z Cabs when my KT arrived. I tried it through the 4x10, ZBest and 1x12 gold. The ZBest was the best to my ears, with the gold 2nd. Some of that may be just because 2 12s can push more air than 1 and we guitarists tend to like that It has all the clarity you could ask for and sounds great with my ODs. Rich/Full....etc. You should have no trouble covering Floyd with the ZBest instead of the Marshall.

I've got four Z cabs and the Z-Best is my favorite with the KT hands down.

Nice one Phil, are you runing it with the stock speakers?

Nice one Phil, are you runing it with the stock speakers? Yep. Sounds fat with a Strat with a nice, clear top and tons of bass.

Hey Darkside
I tried the Z-best both with the stock Celestions and also with Weber Thames Ceramics.
Both speakers are fantastic.
Honestly, it is the best sounding cabinet I have ever heard, period. I ended up selling mine though, as with the Thames it was over 60lbs and a bear to carry. I am still searching for a more portable option. If carrying it/transportation is not an issue, I would recommend it above all other cabs.

Thanks jamieb82, it's good to hear from someone who has experience with the Thames ceramic's, I'm selling the 2x12 loaded with them and was worried that I'd miss them. I'm looking forward to getting a Z-best, but was naturally anxious about using the stock speakers over the Thames' I love your idea of two Z-bests loaded up like that! Now that would be an awesome tone! Cheers! ;D
