I'm thinking of using my staff travel to fly to Sydney and try one out. I REALLY wanna hear this amp. I have the two perfect cabs too. A stock Z-Best and an Ulbrick 1-12 with a custom Celestian V35 (35 watt greenback)

Awesome! Going to the cricket, or Wimbeldon? Let me know what you think if you get up to Peaches! Not missing much down here. Tassie is having the kind of winter I remember when I was a kid. (Grey and wet). Places are turning green that have been brown for decades. And I don't think the Nth coast NSW/SE Queensland has stopped raining for weeks. Oh by the way, my mother not in law is from Brighton. I've heard a LOT about the place! ;D

There's really no need to test drive a Remedy.
Just purchase, simple really.

If I dislike it you will be in trouble! ;D Still thinkin' Stang though as well just for that clean and different to the 66. Hmmm, if I don't like it, you owe me a Stangray! ;D ;D

Jaye, I'm glad to hear the green is returning. Last time I was in Tassie (March '05) I was stunned at how low water levels were and how dry the place felt compared with other trips. (I remember driving from Moina to Sheffield during one particularly nasty downpour.) Hope the greys don't get you down. Seconding or thirding or whatever: buy a Remedy. You won't be disappointed. Of course, now we've got the JAZ 20/40 added to the GAS mix. Cheers, Mike

My schedule has been pretty full on. Did most of southern England then caught the ferry to Dippe in France from Newhaven near Brighton and the train to Paris. paris was hectic but fantastic. Spent some time in the Greek islands, now I,m sitting in Syntagma square, Athens on free public WI-FI writing this. My wife and I are heading off to Prague-Czech Republic in a few of hours for 3 weeks via Budapest- Hungary. I miss the guitars and my Dr Zs a little, but the holiday fun, kind of makes up for it. Im spending more money than I thought so I think the remedy or EZG might just have to wait until Xmas rather than when I get back.

Fantastic 40th birthday shot! I'm jealous of your travels! Glad you're having a great time. I get the feeling from a few Z-Fest leaks, there are going to be more amps you'll wanna buy by Xmas so spend it now! Have fun.

Jaye,
I'll definitely let you know next time I visit. Been too long since the last trip, and I'm really keen to return. (I keep a photo of Dove Lake and Cradle Mtn as my screensaver. Have a few bottles of Boag's in the basement.)
Cheers,
Mike

It's fun reading this stuff. I haven't posted in a while, but I've got to 2nd and 3rd, and +1, to the Z-best suggestion. It's fine with a 2x10, but the Remedy shines with the Z-Best.
Maybe that's why I haven't posted in a while, come to think of it. Life is good, and I've been happy, in a way that has stopped me from looking for a while. I mean, I still play my other amps, but there's a simple majesty to the Remedy's tones that inspires longer sessions.

I can't remember which vid but there is one where TRock is playing a Remedy/Les Paul and I remember thinking, wow, there's a classic tone for ya!

We just played another outdoor gig and I ran the Remedy through my Z 1x12 with a little support through the PA. That amp flat out rocks - no question about it. I know a Z Best would add something special to the tone, but for now, I'm happy with a single 12 (but there's a gently used Z Best at a store near my house. Hmmmmm).
As the other guys have said, if you're thinking about this amp, stop thinking and buy one. You won't be disappointed!

damn, I'm gassing for a Remedy so bad. I'll have to save up all of the gig money for the next couple months to buy one unless I sell my Maz 18 NR (doubtful).

Faze, do you like the Remedy more than the Maz 18 NR or is it ideal to own both?
