Hi Yesterday i went out to try a Galaxie 2x10 and i was blown away!! damn this amp is awesome! I have never played an amp that even comes close to this one and ive played alot of amps, I just had to take it home with me and so i did But man its loud! i have to get a brake lite one of these days before my neighbors really starts to hate me hehe. Also I can't wait for my footswitch to arrive so i can heard ch.2( i have only played it very shortly because it was to loud for the place i was trying it hehe) -Martin

Congratulations on a great amp. Channel 2 freakin rocks! Those 10's are very efficient speakers and pack a wallop. They are a great match for the Gal.

Glad to hear you got one. Doesn't your Gal have a pent/tri switch on the back?
Nothing wrong with the 1x12 combo either! Reminds me of a tweed twin but smaller and oh yeah... BETTER!

Yep it has a pent/tri switch on the back. I use Triod mode because when i switched between the two modes i couldn't hear any big difference and since i like my amp a little dirty i thought that 30w must have less headroom then 40w. But when my footswitch comes(hopefully tomorrow) ill experiment with the 2 modes and see which is the best for me. As far as Ive heard they aren't that different - is that correct? -Martin

A little more sag in Triod mode, The attack is not as fast in Triod mode. I love my Galaxie.

can't wait until i get my footswitch and the Brake Lite comes in stock! Cause this amp is LOUD! I noticed the exact same thing with my new Galaxie. Hopefully I'll have the Brake Lite early next week. I'd love to get some great tones out of it at home but you have to turn it up so loud. My neighbors probably don't appreciate good tone either So far I love my Galaxie! What color did you get?

I love the red. Ever since I saw Michael Burkes and his big red stack of Z's I have wanted one

I honestly think the only thing you need with the Galaxie is some reverb. Outside of that Ch1 and 2 are perfect.

Well to be honest i chose red because it was the only one that was for sale in Denmark But i properbly would have bought in red any ways Yeah some inbuild reverb would have been nice, but Im really not that much into reverb anyways

I haven't had reverb since I bought my first Dr Z (and sold everything else).
