So let me preface this by saying that my Strat has always been the backup guitar to the various Tele's that have made their way though life. I've used it when I needed a trem, or broke a string on a gig but not much more. That all changed tonight when I plugged it into the Jr. Volume dimed, mid and treble at noon, bass at 11-ish and the master around noon w/ OD on. Position 2 on the strat with the volume on about 7 gave me the coolest crunchy rhythm tone I've ever heard. Position 4 with the volume wound out pushed the amp over the edge and produced the most awesome lead sounds I've ever played ;D I was considering swapping pups in here, but they're not going anywhere for while

A strat is a terrible thing to waste... :-)
Glad you're finding cool tones. Sometimes you have all the right pieces except one, and when you find that one, everything comes to life.
Rock on, Eddie

That's really cool Dustin! I had a similar experience w/ my Strat yesterday w/ the GT. The Strat hadn't seen much playing time lately. I was favoring 'bucker equipped guitars. Just for the heck of it, I ran the Strat through the GT. Wow! What a sound! It's my favorite guitar through the GT. I know, I know, this is the RXJr. page... The RXJr. sounds great w/ my Strat too. I agree w/ Eddie. Sometimes it's just finding the missing piece, or putting the right pieces together.
