I was hoping for a little help. My Full-Drive, Keeley Rat and Zen Drive all sound like fuzz pedals. I have read how good this amp takes pedals. I was wondering if there is a tube problem or if this is normal. Love the amp other wise. Thanks

my guess is your slamming the amps front end to hard, but that is completely a guess. I have not been happy with my pedals sense I switch the pickups in my guitar. The guitar and amps sound better, but the pedals? ?? DAVE

Try running the master higher, front volume lower. It is possible that there is too much gain in the front end... perhaps adjust the settings on your pedals too.
Another option would be to put a 5751 in the front end. They are less gainy than a 12AX7. And maybe a NOS EF86, but that's unlikely to be the problem unless it's going microphonic.
I know people love the Zendrive with this amp. So something must need to be adjusted in your case. Good luck!

Evandale beat me to it. I've had better success with running 5751's in v1 and v3, mater vol off, vol to taste(I'm running mine around 9:00 in the house and that's pretty loud), low input and every one of my od pedals sound great(including the Zen). The Zen sounds very warm, smooth yet still articulate...no fuzziness at all.

Ditto the last two posts. Raise your master and keep the front volume down a bit. I play just my Zendrive into the Junior a lot and it sounds very good! I put the ZD's 'gain' at about 1 o'clock, 'voice' about the same.

Thanks to all! I am still experimenting. With the master all the way up it does help but some still a little fuzzy. I am going to try some 5751's.

Play it without any pedals and one cord, then add the pedals one at a time.
Without pedals and the Master dimed you should get nice clean tones with the volume at reasonable levels, then as you increase the volume you should get a natural fur but not fuzz. If it's doing it without the pedals I'd change the EF86 for starters.
Maybe you have a bad patch cable? Turn the pedals down. See how the amp reacts without anything first.
