Congrats Dustin!
I was thinking Eddie's cab would make a great match for your RXJr.
I think you're really going to love that amp. It has fantastic cleans and some really great overdriven sounds. And then, of course, it's much louder then one would think a 15 watt should be... ;D

Uh oh: I might have jinxed it all. FedEx tracking isn't working and the local delivery guy is late...

I knew it FedEx is apparently still out to lunch from the holiday, so I have to wait until tomorrow now... As if the wait wasn't bad enough, now they have to start toying with my emotions like this

Hmmm. That'll be two RxJr's in Pittsburgh. Any body else have one? We'll have to have a meeting of the minds sometime..
I know the wait is painful. Heck, I had to look at my amp for two weeks while I waited for the speaker cab to come in. But it's definitely worth the wait!

I'm still lovin' mine. I got the head because my back is getting worse and the Maz 38 combo is getting heavier, but dayum if I still don't take the 2x12 cab instead of a 1x12 cab no matter what venue I'm using it in - church, coffee house, or outside - it's worth the aggravation. You will love the master volume on this amp. There is a thread somewhere on here where the master volume was noted as being an attenuator instead of just a volume control. Either way, congrats ;D, and get yourself an extra EF86 and rectifier when you have the opportunity. I've had mine almost a year with no problems but they're hard to find in a pinch if one does go out - just my 2 cents re sonic insurance "a" Steve

I wasn't sure I was going to like that w/ the real dark Avatar grille-cloth, but it looks like it matches the face-plate dead nuts. Congrats man! It's a sweet looking rig! Bet it sounds even better then it looks!

Not sure what the Master volume is set at but with the OD light on, those look like my setting as well. They work great with my Tele, Strat, and PRS. I gotta tone it down a bit on the P90's though . Now your cookin' with G.A.S., sorta

I wasn't sure I was going to like that w/ the real dark Avatar grille-cloth, but it looks like it matches the face-plate dead nuts. When I first saw the cab, I was thinking it would look cooler if I swapped the valance for black tolex, but I'm kinda diggin' the combo as is. This is hands down the coolest amp I've owned ;D Once I escaped from work, I got it in the house and popped the grill off the back to make sure everything was seated and had survived shipping, made my connections, flipped the switch to warm it up and made a drink. I'm coming from a background of mostly Fender tone controls, so I figured I'd set everything at noon (including master and volume) and go from there. Grabbed my Tele loaded with a Duncan Broadcaster/Vintage Rhythm and started getting the lay of the land. The irony here is that although this is the most simple amp I've ever owned from a circuit and wiring standpoint (Mini not included) it has some of the most complex tones I've ever heard! When I contacted Eddie about his cab for sale, I happened to mention that I was thinking about ordering the same cab, but with a V30/G12H speaker combo. Luck would have it that he was looking to swap the G12H in his combo for a V30, and offered to make the change before I picked it up (again, very cool Eddie!). That combo is just awesome to my ears: the cleans were so harmonically complex that it blew me away. I was just noodling around in the studio room when the gf and some friends who were watching a movie came down to try and figure out what I was doing differently (apparently the mass of red tolex against the wall wasn't enough of a hint. Can you get tolex in day glo orange? ) It was about this time that I realized that I hadn't played with the overdose at all. Lets just say that from this day forward, I'll be referring to the foot switch as 'The Super Happy Fun Button' ;D Backed the master down to about 11:00 on the High Input, wound the volume all the way up, dimed the guitar on the neck pup and I couldn't help but play every ZZ Top tune I knew! I was considering bringing the Mini along as well this weekend to use for drive, but I think it may be relegated to backup status. The master volume on here is amazing: I'm finding that its more usable than the built in Airbrake on the Mini. I know I keep using the word 'complex' to describe this thing, but thats really the only word I can think of that fits. My only other experience with a Prescription was an original RX that was for sale at GC last year, but of course I couldn't really wind it out to the point where it came into its own. I'm starting to understand what you all mean when you talk about the Rx amps being 'percussive' and 'touch responsive'. I'm almost afraid to put any pedals to it for fear of messing with a good thing! I think I've ranted enough for now. Besides, the sooner I get back to work the sooner I can get back to playing!
