For my dr z EZG-50/Route 66. Ive got a port city Wave 1X12. its a ported design. what would be best. I play a lot of blues!!! Anything from Hendrix to mayer to green to clapton. would a Weber blue dog do the trick or maybe a Weber 1265 (G12-65). Alnico or Ceramic?

Those are two very different sounding amps. Let me know when you get your EZG and I'll bring my Port City Wave 1x12 with a ceramic Blue Dog and we can compare different speakers in identical cabs.

I think Doc always says the G1265 is the perfect single 12" speaker to run with the EZG. So I'd go for a 50w ceramic version of that speaker. Ceramic because the EZG pumps out massive bass, and the alnico would likely overdrive and crumble in the lower frequencies too early.
