took my Mini Z out on a gig... its plenty loud enough for my band context: traditional and funky blues (Albert King, Albert Collins, Buddy Guy style) with a drummer and bass player and harp player
killer sound. cuts through perfectly. Might be the ultimate Blues amp. It certainly is for me.... the portability is wonderful too, it's small enough to be a carry-on item on an airplane (!)... I'm going to be touring all over the USA with this thing
I'll be recording an album with it in August and will post links to the recording when its done being mixed
thanks Dr Z!!!!!!!!!!

The more I use my Mini the more it amazes me. Great little amp indeed.

I took mine to practice for the first time, sounds like we play in similar situations and didn't say anything about it just plugged in and played, three songs in the bass player says "What the heII is that thing, it sound's awesome!"
I have to say this maybe the best sounding amp for slide guitar period, put it on about two o'clock and it is unbelievable, no pedals required!
Kudos for the speaker as well, It is hard to believe how big this amp sounds!

Well I gigged my Mini Sat...way cool !! cut through no problem and never hit a pedal !!!
Set the volume about 2:00 rolled the Guit volume back and went to work. Solo time nudged the guit volume a bit, all out saturated solo..crant the volume pot..this thing is too cool !!!
I had the Ghia there for back up but never even plugged the power cord in, this clubb always say's "turn it down" so it was the perfecr test, the other player uses a RI Bassman and the bass player has a Ampeg 1/2 stack...and me?!?! A 5 watt 8" speaker Mini Z..SUPER AMP !!!!
Thanks Danny!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Tele, with the Mini on two oclock does it clean up with your volume rolled down? And I presume you miked it for the gig? I'm filling in for my brothers coverband for a while and they play lots of those "turn it down" clubs!!! I know this is a question with lots of variables but with the mini at it's loudest, where would it compare volume wise on your Ghia? Or... I have been rehearsing with these guys with my Rt 66 on just below 9 oclock across the board (Bass Treble Volume) How would the volume compare to that if you know. Thanks

Tasweigan, The Mini was miked. I usually run my ghia about 11:00 at this club through a Z 1x12/v-30 cab that sits on the floor, I had that rig there for back up and sat the Mini on top so it was about belly high on me. Yes the Mini cleaned up with the Guit volume pot, clean enough to strum cowboy chords on some country tunes. I had a Route 66 for a while and usually ran it at 12:00 with my air brake on 3 or 4. I would say the Mini @ 2:00 was in the same range volume wise as the other two amps set as mentioned here...with better tone at these levels.
It's truely an amazing little amp...You will need to get it up off the floor IMO.
Danny, Thanks again..for everything, I owe you one man.

Wow, that would seem louder than I would have expected! You might have just sold one for the Doctor! Trouble is with the outrageous oil prices at the moment, I've just found out it would cost $310 to ship with Fedex!!!(Usually about 210) Thanks so much for the reply.
