I went to a recording studio with Buddy yesterday,he was doing some clips with the Mini-Z. I gotta tell ya that's one COOL amp!! He played several guitars through it 335,a Les Paul TV ,& his new Lentz. So I got to here it with "Buckers",a P-90, & "Tele" style single coils. It sounds great with all 3 types of pups! I even got to try it with my Lentz "S"...It's a rockin' little puppy! Don't sound like no 5w amp to me! Can't believe it's just an 8" speaker I gonna have to put one on my wish list ;D

I'd like to hear that amp with a hollow body Jazz axe playing some old Charlie Christian be-bop lines.

oh yeah and those samples of the mini Z sound awesome. Sounds like a great backup amp just in case tubes in my main rig blow. Throw a sm58 on that and go to the races on any stage!

Man! My mini comes and I get one of the best pieces of advice from one of the best players I've ever heard! Does it get any better than this??? Where's my lotto ticket. My mini got bashed up a little in transit so I took it to get checked out first. First impression is wow! Kickin'. Is very bright though where I have my bridge pickup. Would have to lower it before recording it I would think. Out of interest I plugged it into the Z-Best. Oh MY God. Rock sound of DOOM. Too cool. I'm almost tempted to try a gig with it. I know it defeats the purpose of the mini to lug the Z Best along with it but there is a "turn it down " venue I'm always playing so might have to try it out. Have to hear it miked through the PA too. That brightness may sit nicely with a band, I'm not sure. Haven't tried it with lowered bridge pickup yet (my neck pickup is always low) but that should eliminate the over-bright aspect for me. TOOOOO COOOLLLLL Thanks Zane and BW for the clips. I'll have to do one for my site when it gets updated from being 100 years out of date!!!

tasweigan I have tried a bunch of 12AX7's in mine & the GT 12AX7 M seems to "warms" the Mini up quite a bit...you might try one-o-those...
