This section looked a little lonely with no new post in 3 or 4 days, so I figured I'd just let everyone know the Mazerati is a GREAT amp and I still love mine.
Usually after a couple of months I start getting the urge to find something else, but this amp has slowed that urge down, maybe even stopped it (so has the Stangray).
I think the Mazerati is one of Doc's most under rated amps, and I'm glad - so it can just stay our little secret. I love the look on people's (other musicians) faces when they see an amp pushing out that much GREAT tone that only has 2 knobs.
That's all I gots to say about that.

I pulled the trigger and bought a Mazerati 1x12 combo a couple days ago...due to arrive Fed Ex today! I think it's going to be a good companion with the 'Ray...keeping my fingers crossed!

Hey Madison, let me know what you think of the Rati when you get it?!?! After an hour of noodling, first thought...it has no where near the complex clean tone of the 'Ray, but then no other amp does AFAIK. As far as do I like this amp?....Hell YES!! I think this will be the perfect mate to my Stingray...WOW, bluzsteel is right...the BEAST, indeed! Lol. First thing that went was the RC Booster, don't need it with the Mazerati. This amp totally cleans up beautifully with the guitar volume knob, and then gets MAJOR angry with volume dialed up. The Keeley comp needed to be dialed back to knobs around 10:00, whereas the Ray likes them at noon. The BB sounds killer, same settings as always. And the amp volume seems to be best around 10:00 (when used with the Keeley comp), and tone control at about 2:00...this with my Strat. Set up like that will give me a really loud clean tone, or dial guitar volume up for some really aggressive drive. One thing I was prepared to *not like*, was the strong mid range character. This was my only problem with my old Rt 66. Well, it's not the case with this amp. The mids seem perfectly balanced with the lows and highs...maybe the G12H-30 Cele has tamed the mids down some...whatever, I dig the tone of the amp. It is a 1x12 combo, is really really loud, has lots of clean headroom...and at this point I can only guess how awesome it'll be when I'm able to get the volume knob over to the 3:00 territory! With the wife in the house I don't dare try, as I just sprung this purchase on her just hours ago, and need to play things cool! ;D (she actually signed Fed Ex for it and hasn't even asked any details, which is quite unusual) So there you have it. Jason, you weren't any help (nor was Dave)...by comparing your 'Ray v 'Rati you successfully eased me into making the deal (on my 13th Dr Z)...and I thank you for that!

Glad you like it, I was hoping you would after how much I talked it up..... I really love mine!! It's not Stangray, but it's almost as nice! Hard to believe you get that great tone from 2 knobs! Welcome to our little club

I see how you are Madison! you beat me to that one on ebay. Im glad you got! I'll be on the watch for another. I had been keeping an eye out for some time now... not looking hard, but if something pops up... Once I saw the amp with the BIN option it took all of a couple minutes to go for it. I like black, wanted a 1x12 combo, everything just fell into place. Additionally the guy shipped the amp the very next morning...it all happened with blinding speed! At this point it's reminding me of a cross between my Maz Jr NR and Ghia...only with significantly more power and oomph.

Just an update now that I've had this thing several days, and to keep telejas' thread alive! I haven't had a chance to take it to practice yet (the ultimate test), but in the house I am mightily impressed! I'm trying to determine what it reminds me of, but I'm at a loss...probably the best comparison would be an AC-30 TB (no surprise there, huh )...only better. I HAVE determined this: the Mazerati preserves the quack of a strat better than any amp I've played yet (Fender not included). Even with the BB pre amp driving good, you can clearly hear the signature strat sound shining through. It didn't take me long to pull out the Cele G12H-30 and put in my 'ole tried and tested Weber alnico 50w blue dog, and boy that speaker is just a marvel. Not so dang loud, lets you get the tubes working, and zero shrill factor. Killer match up with the Mazerati. I could go on but for now, I'm gonna stop here. I've been at this point before and [glow=orange,2,300]'that feeling' [/glow]goes away...will report more later!

I'm still loving mine and mine is over 2 years old now. It's a versatle amp that produces great tone. My strat sounds best with this amp. This amp is underrated for sure, so us few owners are fortunate to own such a fine tone machine!

Another nod for the Mazerati! One great amp. Powerful, loud and articulate. I run mine stock with a beamblocker. The sound to me is very muscular and full. Great with all of my guitars.

Man these comments in this thread are just the fuel I need to hold me over till my new/used rati gets here later this week. All these accolades are good signs for one who has never had one. If it's as strong willed as my other Z's - we be jammin'. ;D

I didn't really like mine at first through a Z-best cab, and almost sold it. You gotta get this amp up to at least 12:00 on the volume knob with most guitars before it really comes alive. I cranked it up through an Airbrake and open back 1x12 Z cab and I'm pretty sure I'll be keeping this thing for a while, even though I have an RxES on the way too...
