Right now I have a 2x12 Ghia w/ alnico blues. I love this amp dearly. However, I'm jonsing for a Z that has cleans as good as the Ghia, but also with a good bit of gain with a master volume. I love the overdrive I get with the Ghia, but sometimes you just aren't able to crank the thing. Tonally, would these two amps work well together in an A/B live situation? I like to have variations in tones. So...do you think these two amps would be a good match to have? Thanks

with the tonal versatility of the jr. i think they would match up well. The tube layouts of both should provide some tonal similarities and differences that would make them a nice pair. I say go for it.

AB'ing them through the blues would be awesome (maybe wire it up so the Ghia goes to one blue and the RxJr to the other blue.. the speakers can handle both amps). Awesome crunch and gain at reasonable volumes, and the clean tones are beautiful and just so sparkly and full.. I gotta go play 'er now.. -eric

I figured they would be a nice match. I really like the overdriven EF86 sound, so it seems like it would work quite nicely.
