Played out last weekend with both my Mazerati 112 and my Maz JR NR 112. Both amps together blended really well. I had the punch of the Mazerati and the chime of the Maz Jr. Needless to say...I really am happy with that setup. My pedalboard works great through both amps and we are in tone heaven! Both the bass player and drummer commented positively as well. Some would say overkill...I say why not? 6strang

Hey 6strang, How are you running both amps, an A/b/Y box or do you have stereo effects. I ask because I have a decision to make about my setup. I could get a stereo tremolo to run off of my Memory Lane delay, but that delay signal is kinda lo-fi. The lo-fi quality means that I don't have to have a "great" amp just clean and loud enough to be heard. I think that any clean amp with 15-30 watts could keep up. On the other hand the new Stereo Powerglide Tremolo from Toneczar could run from a mono signal to a stereo configuration. So my delay would be mono, but then the tremolo could run a better amp and no be lo-fi. I have a Mazerati 1X12 combo and another Z could be awesome in that setup. The Powerglide can do panning tremolo or swell each amp simutaniously.

I read an interview with Jan Akkerman one time and he used to multi-mic a Leslie and then send the mic signals to, I think, 5 amps scattered around the stage. Can you imagine that? It would be like the first cut on Axis Bold As Love!

I actually can do it one of two ways...Option 1: I have a Line 6 DL-4 with two outs. Option 2 is run mono out of the DL-4 to a Morley ABY where I can switch either amp on or off. I chose option 2 last weekend. I started off the evening with one amp...and then turned the Maz JR on beginning of the second set. (once the dinner crowd left) I didn't notice the delays sounding different. Probably because I was just running mono out.
I would like to try the slapback out by running strictly out of the DL-4 into both amps. I can't wait to try that out. Dual mono seperation of a longer delay would be cool too.
As far as the Leslie sound...man that would be a trip! 5 amps. Jeez.
I have a modded Boss Tremelo TR-2 and that provides a decent vibrato sound when needed. It is ok. Sounds like the one you are getting is the Mack Daddy! ;D
I don't really need 2 amps, in retrospect, but I have fun with it.
I had a fuse blown in my Mazerati during a set a few months ago and hated the feeling of "now what?" Had to stop the show, sweating bullets, threw off my game etc...
Yes, it is a bit obsessive, but why not??? You are only one this planet for one ride. Life is short. Enjoy the tone while you can right?

That's why I'm getting a stereo Powerglide, and eventually another Z.
