The Z Verb delivers a reverb tone that I have been trying to capture for a long time on other valve amps and through transistor based effects. No pedal will ever come close to these sounds. It works whisper quiet with my Carmen Ghia head and gives that little wonder amp even more capabilities. I have also hooked it up to a '58 Magnatone 213 with valve driven pitch shifting vibrato and the sounds are too cool to describe. For anyone who is thinking about buying I think maybe its time to sell that kidney you're not using. Also my hat is off to all the guys at Peach guitars in the UK for making the purchase easy and for following up on things.

Let's just bump this up to front page list hey....... I'm just sayin' Z ;D Hey I agree its an amazing sounding unit. Sounds great with my Ray. And while I was trouble shooting it this weekend (finding that a cable was the problem) I dropped a couple of NOS JAN Phillips tubes in place of the Sovtek 12AX7 and the 6201 that was in there and I swear its even warmer and sweeter sounding.

I was never a huge fan of big reverb. I played a 64 Fender Reverb, a friend had reissues, Premiers, etc. Aside from the Fender amps. I always liked the single knob, amp reverb better than the units. Probably because I never turned the knob past 3. I really like the Z-Verb. It's able to get to the subtle 'knob on no more than 3 on the amp reverb'. Plus, I've been having too much fun turning it up. I was actually annoying people while practicing by doing Roy volume swells.
Not only does it sound amazing with the Galaxie, the KT-45 with Z-Verb.......Near perfection.
I say 'near' only because my 7th grade teacher told me, when I asked why I did not get an "A", that nobody is perfect.

Hi Steve, If you ever want to try one out in person give me a call and arrange a visit. I recently sold my Fender unit and bought a Z verb (surf green) Nick heh... maybe get the SPD out again? What the hey, let's do it. Maybe you and Drew can do a pre-get together benefit concert to cover our bail.
