I have the Mazerati head with a Z-Best Cab that I plug into the 8 ohms jack. This is plenty loud for club gigs, but I would like a little more volume for outdoor/big stage shows.
Does anyone know .. can I add another Z Best cab, use a splitter and run both cabinets from the 4 ohm jack? Will this harm the head, or lessen the life of tubes, etc.? Will there be any effect on sound?

You should be able to do this with a special splitter cable and use the 4 ohm tap. You might contact Z about getting a cable.

What if you have a 16 ohm and an 8 ohm cabinet?

What if you have a 16 ohm and an 8 ohm cabinet? You would have to treat this as two 8 ohm cabs and use the 4 ohm jack and loose a bit of output. It is better to use to cabs or speakers of the same impedance.
