Curt is right............turn it on, and play. It's not gonna take much to put it where you want it. I'm looking at a Scumback M75 12" for my Dr. Z 1x12 convert. Thinkin.......always thinkin.......... Hey Benttop...........is Friday still right after Thursday??? ;D Yeah, it is, but I called the dealer and he's not sure if it will be here this week or early next.... OY! Still way faster than I figured, so I'll STILL get to play it on a gig next week. I may just hump that Z-Best upstairs and haul it out there - I bet the Z-Best is "the best" you can do for this amp.

G12-65 ;^)
And if you have an Analogman Beano Boost or Keeley Fuzz Head....well, hold on to your hat. You'll find those elusive Paul neck tones.
My bud Sam was over last Friday with his Remedy and the aforementioned pedal and it was, by a mile, the coolest, most vocal like Paul neck tones I've heard, ever.
It helps that Sambo is a KILLER player.

I have a Z-best with a G12h and a Greenie, I am debating putting two greenie's in it, but I am really thinking hard about getting a 1x12 with G12-65, probably a Weber 1265 with pre rola dope.

Well I have the Z-Best, a 1x12 with Gold, a 1x12 with G12-65, a 2x12 with Blues, and a 2x12 with G12H/V30. ONE of those should sound pretty great I would think...

They are pretty stout but also very expensive I certainly wouldn't be crankin' that baby up.

Funny...I ordered a Remedy on the day it was announced (January 7th) and after about 10 weeks it is still back-ordered at Long & McQuade....no other info available. So, today I cancelled the order and maybe I'll pick one up at some other time......too many toys out there to wait ;D Keith

[glow=red,2,300]GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLY![/glow] Dealer just called and the Remedy is THERE! Just have to take the LOOOOONG way home tonight, right through downtown Seattle. Believe me, that is NOT a place you go voluntarily, especially on a Friday night, but I have a pretty good reason this time....

Yes but good things come to those that wait Not in this case ;D A little history..... In September 2008 I ordered a Galaxie head and 210 Dr Z cab. In November I get a call from the dealer that the order came in. So, I drop by and the guy brings out the 210 cab. So, i ask where's the Galaxie head??? Turns out that they somehow ordered the head incorrectly in their POS system and the head didn't get ordered. The guy asks me if I want it ordered and I say, no, I'll wait a little while to see what else comes up. I could use the 210 with my new Maz 18 JR head I bought in the previous month. Well, I buy a fair bit of stuff at this dealer. So, next time I'm in the salesman (who felt bad about screwing up the Galaxie order) said he went ahead and ordered the Galaxie anyway and when it comes in he can call me for me to drop over and see if I want it. I say sure, I'll take it. The guy says I won't even take it out of the box until you drop by to see it. So, on January 6th I get a call on my home voice-message machine that the amp is in and I can come by to look at it....ITS OUT ON THE FLOOR! So, when the store opens next day I go over and I don't see the amp. The salesman comes round the corner and says, jokingly, "The amp sold, 'by!". I say, "Yeah, I don't see it around". Now he starts to look sheepish and says "It was right here yesterday afternoon! It can't have sold that quick!" Then the other salesman says "Are you talikng about the Dr Z? We are shipping that to Oshawa today!" The guy who bought the amp in for me couldn't belive it. Becuse he didn't put my name on the order in the system, it was fair game to any of the other L&M dealers who use the same national inventory system! Oshawa now had dibs on the amp. I guess I could have kicked up a stink....but that's just not me. So the guy asks me if I want to order another Galaxie. However, I saw the release that day that said the Remedy was ready for order. So, I told him to get me one of those. Now its over 10 weeks ordered and showing back-ordered in their system, with no additional info on it. But then I see people getting amps within a week after ordering from other places. Sure, some of these places may have had orders in for a while....but still...I ordered on the day it was announced available to order! So, today I called and cancelled the order with the dealer.....had enough trouble trying to get Dr Zs through here. I'm one of those people who likes to try to support the local dealers...big or small. But i guess if I buy another Z it will be coming from away. Keith

Wow...and imagine, 10 weeks waiting for mine and still no sign of it or word on status....that's just bad That's about how long ago he ordered this one. Last time I was in I was picking up my 1X12 Convertible with G12-65 and I asked if he had a Remedy on order. He said no. So I told him when I'm ready for my red on red I'd be in. Unbeknown to me he ordered one right around then. It was only a coincidence that I walked in to place my order on the day Doc was shipping it. So I'm the beneficiary of a nice set of circumstances.

Yep...if it hadn't been for the first two foul ups with the Galaxie head, the wait for the Remedy probably wouldn't have really mattered with me either. Oh well, we'll see what the future holds there. There may be a Remedy in my future. However, right now there are more toys that are available that are on my "short list" Unfortuneately....no Zs in the name, though I've even queried Humbucker about shipping a surf green Remedy & Z best to Canada...but I don't think they have any in stock. It's here! Wow, it's all I expected and more. This is the first Z I've purchased new...I've been playing it through a 2x12 with Emi Governors, and the tone is smokin'. Free, Thin Lizzy, AC/DC...it's all in there. One thing I can tell is that it will be too loud for the places I play, even at half power through the Governors...102 db. I have a 2x10 with Scumbacks that should knock it down a notch or too. It really cleans up with a light touch, and when you dig it, it reponds accordingly. I am playing a Grosh Set Neck with Fralins in it...haven't even pulled my other guitars out. The Remedy is to a LP, what the Maz is to a Strat...just a perfect marriage. So far I have the controls set: Bass: 9:30 Mids: dimed Treble: 3:00 Volumes as loud as you can take it...my neighbor was out loading her car when I was cranking it....I'm sure she was thinking WTF? It will be Saturday at our rehearsal space before I can really let it go...but so far I'm a happy camper! Back to take this thing off standby -SF

Back to take this thing off standby -SF I'm right there with ya My Grosh Set Neck has Lollars and it kills through the Remedy. I love those Fralins though. I've got a set of Unbuckers in another guitar and they smoke. They're way more detailed and airy than the Lollars (which are the HW or "high wind" set) but the Lollars have a midrange thrust and thickness that the Fralins don't have. Either one in a Set Neck is great, it just depends on what you want!
