What's the sonic differences between the two? I've got a 6545, and dig it. BUT, I'm always one the hunt for sonic bliss.....sound familiar? ;D

I don't have the 6545 anymore and didn't have both amps at the same time. I agree with Ward, I might be biased. The drive channel of the Galaxie IMO is very different from the 65 side. I'm not that good at descriptions but the Gal drive channel responds more like an old deluxe cranked than a Marshall JCM 800. I think the 65 side has cascading gain circuits as does the Marshall. The clean channel of the Galaxie is tweed voiced. The 45 side of the 6545 I can't describe with Fender/Marshall/Vox comparions but sounds like a KT45 which is awesome and was my fav side of the 6545. Both are great and both have their own voice. One key difference is the master volume on the 65 side.
