[Remedy content below; please read to the bottom. I've cross-posted this in the RxJr forum as well.] I've been playing along this morning with a backing track for Led Zeppelin's "Over the Hills and Far Away." Here's the rig: Les Paul Standard WCR Crossroads PAF humbuckers Maxon AD999 delay Rx Junior with 1x12 and 2x10 convertible cabs, both closed (settings: B:7, M:10, T:7, Vol: 4, Master: about noon) I am getting better tone out of this rig than Pagey EVER got live, I kid you not. I play the opening and closing parts in the middle position, and the main rock parts in the bridge position. No pedals unless I want to kick in the Zen for the F# solo part. The WCRs give an incredible chime and swirl and shimmer in the middle position (think: Dickie Betts), and a great snarl and bite in the bridge position (think: dirty Michael Bloomfield). And the RxJr is as close to Marshall as I've been without a real Marshall ... and at bedroom levels! What a glorious amp! What a glorious combination! We don't need no stinkin' Marshalls! But what I want to know is this: will the Remedy do the same thing? Can it REALLY sound convincingly Plexi, like Page only better? Can it REALLY pull off Dickie and Duane at the Fillmore? Or the Black Crowes? Can it REALLY do "I Don't Need No Doctor" or "Alright Now" with a good Les Paul? The video sounds good, but these are a bunch of tones I'm after that aren't sufficiently illustrated in the video. I guess I'll need to bring my LP to the nearest dealer and plug in.

Hey, We think alike some more!!
The Remedy is more "in your face"... the wattage is higher even at half compared the RxJr.
Yes to all your questions in my opinion and Pedals are less required with the Remedy for what you are asking than the RxJr... not that the RxJr need much pedal push. The different tubes etc. You need to play one, but I think it's the Remedy for you... literally too!
The video does a good job, but feeling the body of the ax up against you while it's happening really seals the deal.
While it's not practical for me, an ideal dual rig setup would be the RxJr and the Remedy. I never have enough real estate or setup time though.

The RXJr and Remedy are my two Fav Z's, but since the Renedy came here the RXJr has only been flipped on once! and it was my go to gig amp.
All Right now is exactly the Tone I hear from the Remedy with my R8 and G12-65.
I don't need no Doctor? YES!! It is there, in spades.
'Lizbeth Reed? Sho nuff in there too.
Just Got Paid? can't help but play that riff every time I fire the Remedy up.
