I do. I've been using mine for about a year & 1/2. I just came off a 10 day tour of dive bars & such in the midwest & above. Every where we played people loved the Galaxie. I'm playing it with a ES-135, T-Rex Tremster & Keeley comp. Man this is a Rock'N'Roll Amp. I don't have the lingo to describe this amp, T-Rock can tell ya that. A drummer friend of mine calls it the Magic Amp. I've use it for solo gigs and it does fine. Without an AirBreak. (It's in the hand and tone Knobs) It's loud but not ugly. I play kind of punk, rockabilly, blues, my ideal of country. So manny sounds in this amp. Wildman channel 2 Oh Boy. Clean, Dirty Soul music to the Cramps. Well Gentlemen please chime in. Richard

Yeah I have had mine for about a year and it has been such a "go-to" amp that I decided to get a 2x10 combo version and now will sell my head. Not that I don't love all my Z's - but for modern blues and flexiblity the Gal is great. I host a weekly blues jam and our band usually plays out about 5 or 6 times per month in the winter and more in the summer. I posted a new clip of my red 2x10 combo over in the sounds section: drzamplifiers.proboards41.com/index.cgi?board=soundfiles&action=display&thread=19759

Gigging with a Galaxie?
Wish I was. Truth be told, there are some days I think I got too much tone and fire-power not being fully utilised. Someday, I hope to get in a semi-regular situation.

I wouldn't say "regularly", but I probably have a good 6-8 gigs with it. I've been able to really get its legs stretched most of the time too, and I've had people tell me that its the best live tone I've had.
I'm playing a Collings I35 and telecaster through it.

I've been gigging with a Galaxie and a Dr. Z Z-Best 2x12 cabinet (which I bought at Mass Street Music) throughout the midwest for over 1 year and it has been great. The amp has LOTS of volume, excellent dynamics and works night after night. However, I should mention a couple issues I have had-
1) the input jack came loose during a gig (only a week or so after buying it) and I had to rig it to work in the middle of a song. I had that jack replaced shortly after and had no problems since. 2) Sometimes I don't get enough headroom for certain pedals. Mainly fuzzes which prefer my cleaner amps at the volumes I use for louder shows.
That said, the Galaxie is a great, great gigging amp. I use it very regularly. I think it makes some of my distortion pedals jealous, because they see less use (SORRY Fulltone OCD). I have plenty of other amp choices, but I am very content with the Z.
Oh yeah, as content as I am, I will be picking up an EZG-50 very soon but only to add to the collection. The Galaxie is a keeper and road-worthy (after changing the input jack)

I play 3-5 nights a week out with it along with playing at the house every day with it. I have a nice ATA travel case but its a good solid amp. I'm not so sure about the foot switch jack/wire - it is already shorting out at 4 months down the road making it difficult if not impossible to switch b/t ch1 and ch2.

The foot-switch is cheap, I had a Budda foot-switch laying around, no problem with switching since. Great gigging amp.

I'm gigging twice a month in carnivals, bars and parks in South Florida with a Galaxie head through a Komet airbrake into a single 12 cabinet. Bought the head from Ultrasound in NYC...I highly recommend these guys if you want someone to guide you through the process of buying a new amp to suit your personal needs.) Pedals in the front include ZVex SHO, Fulltone DejaVibe 2 and Durham Crazy Horse. Took a suggestion from another thread on this forum and ditched the OD pedal. You don't get increased volume on channel 2 after 12 o'clock. Just increasing degrees of saturation/overdrive. It's a beautiful tone monster. I also run channel 1 at 12 o'clock to get crazy horse style break up with the SHO. I get more variety of tones from less hardware using this amp than any previous set up. The Komet airbrake doesn't have a bedroom setting, but the lowest notch keeps me quiet enough for the tiny dive bars. I've also gigged with my Mini Z combo for several years and both it and the Galaxie have chugged along with no indication of letting me down. I do adjust the Presence between different guitars to those of you considering the Master mod.
