Im getting a rediculous amount of tax return money this year. Im finally gonna step into a good amp. Ive decided on a rxes with zbest 2/12 silverbell alci and blue dog cerm(opinions on this speaker setup?) I would love to keep this on super dirty with an airbrake, and a/b to a different ac30ish clean tone, suggestions? gotta be etleast 30 wats (we are loud as f@#k). Ive heard of setups using maz gt, what about a stang ray or maz 38? I dont want it to sound to different to the point where if i switch in the middle of a song, it will sound off. just different enough to get best of both worlds, you know? Info, i play mostly rhythm thru a Sheraton with jb humbuckers, and a joe stummer tele. ive been playing a ac30cc2. my lead guitarest plays a les paul thru black face twin. also, any opinions on switches so i can use one cab with both heads? i was thinking of going with this: www.tonebone.com/tb-headbone-vt.htmheres samples of our band on myspace, if anyones interested (they are crappy home recordings, we hit the studio as soon as my new amps broken in). www.myspace.com/9thstreetshakedown very excited to get a dr. z out on the many stages here in phoenix!! people will freak!

I was just telling somebody who just aquired an RX that my favorite two amp set-up is an RXES and a MAZ SR. I HIGHLY recommend you try a Maz SR. You can A/B between them and use the tone to scoop the mid or boost the mids a little differently between the amps, and use different speakers to set them apart a little more... AND THEN you can run them together at the same time for a BIG ole sound!! I like. The Stangray also sounds wonderful with the RX ES especially at the same time... BUT for different flavors and possiblities, and closer tonally if you want them to be A/Bing back and forth... Did I mention I HIGHLY recommend the MAZ SR... BTW... the Weber Blue/Silvers sound GREAT with the RX ES... as do Greenbacks and Golds... The Maz sounds great with the same speakers and I LOVE the Alnico Tone Tubby with it. So I also try to use a different speaker with each amp to bring out the flavor I want out of each. Ceramic Silver (mixed with an Alnico Bluedog for a 2x12 set up) with the RX's and an Alnico Tone Tubby (mixed with a Ceramic Silver for a 2x12 set up) for the Maz. .02... but I love these two amps. ;D
