Same title, and result as benttop ;D...WOW, what a killer amp! I've had it for almost a month and last night was the first time out of the house for a NYE jam with some friends. Also in my mailbox yesterday was a CMATMODS Deeelay, so that went in the chain with the usual fare, Keeley comp, BB, RC...and the convertible 2x10 cabinet was used. I never got the amp volume and master over 9:00. It sounded simply excellent, equally good as the Z-28, but quite different. We jammed on things like 'Red House' to 'Six Days on the Road', to 'Pipeline', so lots of genres. The SRZ seemed to fit best on the bluesy numbers. Using the Strat neck pu, a little shimmer/whammy & DEEELAY on 'Stormy Monday' was pretty darn righteous. Also first out was the strat loaded with Fralin VH/ SP pu's, far superior to the stock ones IMO. Lots of new stuff at the jam last night, all good. My only question is how I'll ever come close to utilizing the power this amp offers. Probably never will, but that certainly doesn't seem to be an issue. Pretty cool looking Z...the faceplate is actually dark brown, just looks black in the pic:

Sounds like fun! You need to push some humbuckers through it and see what happens.

Sounds like fun! You need to push some humbuckers through it and see what happens. I'd really like to hear what hummers are like through the SRZ. I'm kind of gassing for one, but the power seems like it might be overkill for most of our gigs. That said, I like the controls on the SRZ, so my interest is pretty high. +1 on the request for a humbucker review!

The SRZ sounds amazing with humbuckers - think Duane Allman, Dickie Betts, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page... sounds like all those guys.

I actually have a Yamaha Pacifica guitar with a 'bucker in the bridge, and my son's Strat has one in the bridge too. I'll have to dig that guitar up and try 'er out. +1 for the SRZ's controls. I like simple, but still want a mid knob. This has it, and it's set at 3:00...I do like mids, can get all the scooped I need with the Deluxe. A comment on the CMATMODS Deeelay ...great pedal, sounds fantastic! Well made, true bypass, transparent, quiet, and only 3 knobs so you can dial it in in 20 seconds. All my other delays were either too colorful, noisy, or too complicated.

Yeah, the SRZ is a very sweet amp. I really debated selling mine a lot, but I just wasn't playing it, since I have a modded Plexi. I played humbuckers almost exclusively through the SRZ, although on the rare occasions when I did play a Fender through it, the tone was great.

Think I need another guitar, it'd have to be an HSS cause I need single coil too, only humbuckers for lead stuff. The Pacifica 'bucker sounded killer w/ the SRZ, but my Fralin SP-43 is not too far off. Better yet, another pickguard wired HSS. Man, this GAS just never ends! ;D

Ya, it doesn't really ever stop. The single sized Humbuckers sound good, I just purchased a ProTrack from Dimarzio after playing one on a Strat at GC. Sound great.

Mines off the market. Times are bad, but the tone is too, good.
This amp with my G&L Blues Boy is just great. It sounds really great, guitar straight to amp.
A few choice pedals even make it sweeter. They're not needed though, just a bit of icing on the cake.
#19 is mine.
