It arrived safe and sound! I've only had a half hour with it, and one things for sure...it is LOUD and strong. The loudest Z amp I've played yet. I'll need to see if I can tame this beast, so far I much prefer the 1x12 to the 2x10 with this amp.

Man that is sweet! I think the 1x12 is the way to go. Can't wait I get mine Tomarrow and my AirBrake on Wednesday. Congrats again! bubs, you'll be doing good to use an Airbrake. Let me know how you like it tomorrow. Now the 2x10 is sounding excellent as well, it's just a matter of spending some time tweaking knobs. It's way too much of everything so I'm running my strat into a Keeley comp to squish it some, an MI Audio Crunch box, and an RC booster. With all pedals on and dialed in just right it has a glorious smooth & powerful 'Marshall' tone. I'll try and do a video or audio recording in the next few days.

One thing that really works great with my SRZ-65 is setting it up for a real nice solo tone and then turning the guitar way down - it gets a very musical tone that you just have to hear to appreciate.

Great, A friend turned me on to leaving my knobs at 8 to 8.5, the last 10th of rotation on Hamer Pots have a boost so this is right up my alley. Thanks for the tip. ;D

Well I had a blast dialing my son in last night. We were up to 10:30 getting him his best tone to date (and my wife somehow didn't complain, bless her heart!). He's never experienced what an SRZ-65 running through a Crunch Box goosed further with an RC booster can do, and you couldn't wipe the grin off his face.
Lots of smooth fluid gain, but very ARTICULATE note separation. He won't be taking this rig to practice, but I will let him use it for jobs. I think his bandmates will be quite happy!

I spent some more time with it last night and am starting to warm up to the amp. It is really strong so a little bit goes a long way, but getting it dialed in is proving quite impressive. ;D

Just wanted to chime back in on how well I'm getting along with this amp! At this stage, it's like having the power & push of the Stang Ray, but with more gain available...quite a bit more actually. I'm continuing to find better and better setups over time. The crunch box is out for good and the BB is back in the chain...it allows the true tone of the strat to shine through. I've been running it, the 28 and the Deluxe Reverb over and over, and they all sound so dang good. Plug into one, then the other, another, so forth and so on... The DR has a wonderful reverb/ tremolo and is a tone monster, the 28 will smoke the DR in a challenge, and has even more tone to tha bone...the SRZ just sounds really BIG, more bottom end. So bubs, did you get yer 65 up and running yet?

No, I slightly ticked that my tube didn't come Friday or Saturday. So I hope it will be here tomarrow. I ordered a solid state rectofier for a back up and I have a bid in on a N.O.S. rectifier on ebay. I'll end up with more than enought back ups now.LOL.. I have a Keeley Tubescreamer with the Plus Mod and a Keeley BluesDriver. I saw that you liked your's together so I was stepping around through my 50watt Crate VFX and I have those pedals set up exactly the same for just a bit of grind. I love the Tubescreamer and the BD but if I turn them on at the same time I don't loose any clarity but it has a great "Thump".. Can't wait to try that through the SRZ.. Mybe you should post one more Video for me to get me through. Glad your loving yours.
