I recently purchased a RX Jr and 1-12 open/closed Z Cabinet with a Vintage 30. I can't tell you enough how much I enjoy it and how much it changed my playing. I play in a band "Beer Money" and we play Country, Southern and Classic Rock. The RX Jr replaced a Minty Twin Reverb that I had been using. When I was setting up, I told the guys that this was a TONE MONSTER! I thought they were going to make "dooty" when I cracked it open on a ZZ Top number. Then I did it...when playin Liza Jane, I hit the MO'Better Overdose button and I thought everybody's head was gonna rip off their body when they turned to see where this wall of pristine goodness was coming from! I have gigged this Mojo laden setup every weekend for about 6 weeks and there is no going back to my Twin - Anybody wanna buy a Fender coffee table with speakers?

Yeah, I don't rav out loud about mine too much, but it is unreal. It's almost to perfect. I don't know what would make it perfect but it's close.

I changed bands, now in a full blown country band - Stolen Horses. It is a great amp and is so sweet when coupled with a tele.

Welcome to the fold. I'm using the Jr and getting great sound with our country rock band as well! Works well with both a strat and a tele.

A couple days ago I played 2 hours of death metal sounding stuff so my buddy could try out his double bass work with someone. Man, I plugged it into my 4x12, scooped the mids, cranked the bass, and used a Baritone LP.
Yeah, it was pretty stupid.

Yeah, it was pretty stupid. It might have been stupid, but I bet it still sounded incredible! ;D It never ceases to amaze me just how versatile Z's "Junior" amps are...

Tell you the trueth it was a really powerful thing that was alot of fun to do and yes it sounded great.
I just got back from a freak out acid jazz jam with the same guy and he was just blown away that it was the same amp just with an Asat and a single Cel. Blue.

Just been to Z fest 2009 and even though I have GAS, I still love my JR and will NEVER sell it. I think it's time to name her...Any suggestions?

DAVE!!!!
Glad to hear youre lovin the junior. I miss it so!!! I think I may have to grab a Jr Head and plug into the 1x12 cab. I got a gold put in the cab now, and it sounds great!! I think I may move on the Z28, and if I can sell my Savage, I am getting another Jr, and a StangRay....although the JAZ has my interest.
Glad to hear youre loving it.

Ok, so 6strang sold me the RX JR nine months ago and I still can't live without it. I have tone out the wazoo and I like to see other guitarist faces when I "crack it open". I know I'm a goof but what can I say, it makes me smile. "If lovin my JR is wrong, I don't wanna be right". 'Nuff said!!!
