here's a clip demonstrating the maz gt's ability to get great clean and distorted tones through just controlling your touch/attack and volumes on your guitar.
as in the other vid clip thread i posted, gear is:
'05 R7 les paul goldtop, stock burstbucker pickups, RS electronics superpots/hovlands bayou cable (canare/neutrik) maz gt 2-12 cab, semi-open back, loaded with scumback g12m (large dustcap)/g12h combo, both w/ 65-watt magnets
i start on the neck pickup, slowly rolling the volume and tone up, then mid position, both pickups volume and tone controls less than 5, then to the bridge and showing more of the gain available with the volumes and tones rolled up full.
this amp is waaaay more than a one-trick pony. just the clean-ish tones are enough for a blues gig. turn the volume up on your guitar, you're into bluesbreakers beano territory!

I love your clips and tone Jack! But man, that was a tease ;D with ten seconds left I thought OK here we go, show me what that baby is made of, and quick as a flash the standby goes on ;D I can imagine it was getting pretty loud by then though. But WOW what a grind in that couple seconds! NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN' ABOUT Holey shamoozel.
Can't decide between a 'Ray or GT....wait a minute, I don't have to maybe.. STANG/GT BRING IT ON. sorry about the caps

Again, great tone and playing, thanks so much for taking the time to post these clips. The amp really sounds great. SO I finally managed to track a Maz gt head down in Arlington Virginia, still 3 hours drive from Philly. I checked my band schedule this week and I couldn't believe it when I discovered that we are playing in ARLINGTON on Saturday night!!! This must be a sign that I have to buy it. I'll be taking the 3 hour trip to VA from Philly Sat and will let you guys know the outcome.

The Bad Poodle: I bought airline tickets online... now every few days i get emails that read "Your trip is almost here but aren't you forgetting something?? You don't have trip insurance!" and i'm thinking..."is there something i should know about your plane maintenance?"

GuitarZ: Reminds me of buying my Honda. When they tried to sell me the maintenance package, I said "Is your car not reliable?" Long story short my wife teamed up with the sales lady to buy the maint package. Never again!

capofirstfret: I've experienced tube rattle in two different amps that I've had. In both cases I bought the rubber rings from Eurotubes and it fixed it for me.

GuitarZ: Idiot! I wanted to put a little air on my Zoom H1's circuit board to clear out any residual Deoxit from spraying the input connector. Guess which can I picked up to spray. Yup! Not the air can.
