Okay - finally got the video done, trouble getting it up to YouTube as high quality so it is on our site. Here is the Lentz SSL into the Galaxie using a 4x10, can't remember if I just used the 'Dragon Clean Boost for the leads or Channel 2? Sound is just a 2 channel feed from the board so not the greatest. I think I used the Clean Boost on Let it Roll and Ch 2 on Me & Bobby Oh well - I will be 40 in a few months, must be getting old. www.houndstoothblues.com/video/I played the Galaxie this last weekend at a gig and loved it again. Ch 1 and Ch 2 screw the pedals.

Thanks for posting JD.
Great tone on the solo in Me and Bobby.
I enjoyed that.
Hmmm, interesting I just noticed you have all the same amps as I have albeit the Jr which I have the bigger version and the Route 66 which I don't have.
What do you use the Route 66 for JD .......pure blues gigs?

Groovergeorge: Thanks - well I bought the Route 66 because they ain't making a 4 6V6 w/EF86 front end amp anywhere in the near future (i.e. a big brother to the Z28). Actually the guy who got me into Zs back in '97 (Perry) used a Route 66 on his CD and had that great focused blues tone. I do use the Route 66 for blues stuff although it can rock and roll with a clean boost or OD pedal, it just doesn't quite have the glassy shimmer of Z28, Maz Jr, or Galaxie. That is why it is nice to play 2 or 3 gigs a week (hosting a blues jam and playing with band) that way I get to use all my Zs each month. I think I need a 12 step program for Zs

I've got a weber 1265 which is Ted's version of a Celestion g12 65 Heritage hooked up to my Galaxie which drops volume quite considerably. It took me a while to get used to it after using a single greenback with my z-28 but now to my ears sounds superb.
