Hey Jr's, has anyone used a quad, preferably an old marshall with greenies with the Jr? I tried Azatplayers' ES thru a quad and it was just killer. I'm wondering if the jr model gets that same killer tone thru a quad, just at a more "appropriate" volume.

Tas,
I'm wondering the same thing. I got a line on a 1960A Classic w/ the Greenies in great condition at a great price. The guy said I can bring my heads over to help me decide if I want it. I'm almost afraid to go over because I might fall in love with this combination, and I'm not so sure I want to lug around a 4X12.
Anyone got some experience w/ the RXJr and a big ole' nasty 4X12 w/ Greenies?

NO, I don't not yet. But, I plugged my Z-28 into one and wow!!!! I plugged my Swart SR-R {5watt} into the same cab and WOW!!!! My Maverick never sounded better than when played through a 4x12 greenback Marshall.
Your RxJr should wow you also.

I picked up an older Mesa 4X10 cab w/ the Jensen Vintage alnico's. I was really thinking about getting the Z 4X10 in Red to match my heads, but I didn't want the higher power ceramic speakers. All I have right now are ceramics and I was looking for something different sounding. I was really on the fence about it when I found the Mesa at a great price. Anyway, the sound of the 4X10's w/ the RXJr is spectacular.

I barrowed a Mesa 4x10 from a local store and tested the Z-28 through it. Compaired to the Z 2x10's those poor Jensen speakers could keep up or put out like the Z's..... But, I do understand want liking thatalnico thing.
I'm about to redo my entire Z line up. A 4x10 will be in the center of it all.

Jaye, I have gigged my RXJr with a Z 4x10 and it was possibly the best tone I have ever pulled, grinned like like a school girl all night. Now, the quad, I had a well worn Marshall 1960 'classic' with green backs when I bought my first Ghia...........................wow.....what a beast

I'll let you guys know how the RxJr fits/sounds through a one or both of these cabs in about 2-3 weeks. Early 80's Greenback loaded. The Swart St-R sounds unreal. DAVE
