I'm in NC every month so I stopped into FatSound and they had one sitting on a Z-Best. (I guess most people like an Open-Back 2x12 or 4x10 a tad more, but the Z-Best really smoked with that Head)
Anyway, Mike plugged Stu's Goldtop in, and ran it thru the paces.....while "I" fiddled with the knobs.
Folks, this falls into that catagory as a "Must-Own" Professional Amplifier . I think this may be in the same league as Z's MAZ Juniors & especially MAZ Seniors with regard to it's usablility.....having a full range of Tone Controls, Master Volume, and a HUGE On-Board Reverb....makes this EXTREMELY flexible.
I imagine it would be overpowering in a small to medium bar gig, but what I heard was an Amplifier SOOO big and bold I'm not sure ANYTHING would bring out the pure tone of your guitar like this thing does..... Which is what I like anyway.....listening to nothing but a Guitar-Plugged-Straight-In. Mike mentioned how well it takes Pedals, so that may be a good thing for many folks.....I just don't care about them.
It certainly produced a deep gorgeous clean, but also was able to get fairly aggressive depending on how the "Pre" & "Post" Volume Knobs were set.
I haven't bought any Amplifers in a long time now, but hearing this makes me really start to itch..... In fact, I think this falls into the catagory of buying TWO Identical Amps, (to have a spare just in case).....

PS: Still waiting for more Videos and Sound-Clips from you guys!

I would love to be able to do what you did. More so if the player has the same or close to the same right hand as I have. This allows you to really check out the amp.
Ther are a couple of things that I would love to know and asking over time. Info, sounds, and more stuff on the Z site trickle in, but sometimes at a pretty slow pace.
