Would the airbreak be suitable for a higher powered amp such as a 100 watt twin?

100 watts is the recommended maximum, per the Dr. Z Web page.

100 watts is the recommended maximum, per the Dr. Z Web page. Actually the exact wording on the Z site is "with amps less than 100 watts". I'm a little unclear as to what that means. It seems to say that an amp that is 100 watts will not work.

Hmmm. I see what you mean. Well, is your twin really 100 watts? I thought they were about 80 watts or so. Besides, 99 watts is "under 100 watts" isn't it? If it will work with 99, I bet it will work with 100.

Steve, My 70's SF Twin is rated at 100...Turn it up over 5, you'd swear it was 1000...

Yeah, I'm probably thinking of the old blackface models.

Steve, My 70's SF Twin is rated at 100...Turn it up over 5, you'd swear it was 1000... I had a late 60's Twin in college with those silver coned, ultra efficient JBL speakers. I can remember being in an auditorium and literally blowing two guys with 100 watt Marshall stacks off the stage. Mine was clean all the way.. couldn't find any grit or growl anywhere with that amp and a Les Paul, and I was too stupid to know about using a pedal for some fuzz.
