On the back of my KT45 I have taps for 4, 8, and 16 ohms. With many amps you can utilize two taps simultaneously for a combined parallel load, e.g. using two 16 ohm cabs for an 8 ohm total load, or two 8 ohm cabs for a 4 ohm total load.
Does anyone know if I can do this with the KT? Seeing as how powerful this thing is, I was considering purchasing two separate 1x12 cabs with the same impedance. Using 1 cab for smaller gigs, 2 for larger.
If I were to use two 16 ohm cabs, could I plug one into the 16 tap and the other into the 8?

Do not plug two cabs into two different taps in any of Doc's amps. This will probably ruin the transformer. What you can do is use a Y cable and split one tap into two cabs.
