i have a 5751 in the v1 slot, for a bit less gain, sits on top of a lopoline open back cab with a celestion gold in it, working through the high input with the boost off, bass pulled back and the mid all the way,, i play lower volume coffee house tones, i like to get a good srv blues tone at a low volume and this gets it, with an old boss dm2 delay, hit the boost for a little more... such a sweet little set up, i liked the ghias i had for crunch, dimed, but, this rig is so much more versatile.. glad i bought it...

Paul let me try his RXJr out a while back, man I was MOST impressed w/ the HEADROOM that little thang had for the rhythm stuff, and when ya kick the boost in, yeah baybee! You're right James, It really is versatile. It was the perfect rig for that little Newport Blues Cafe gig, the sound guy was tellin' me about Johnny Winter killin' everybody in there the week before w/ a cranked up Super Reverb....

I'm going to have to through at 5751 in there someday as well. I just can't get over how good this thing sounds. Makes me not want to mess with it.

Aw, sometimes (read: most of the time) I throw in a little of that faux-Pagey mynah bird stuff when my little 'Hideaway' solo section gets disinteresting and runs outa steam, which don't take long as you can imagine! Been tryin' to get it right since I was about 16, Since I saw Russell Malone and Grant Green. Jr. down in Rio last weekend, I think I'll just give it up completely. Guitar PLAYERS vs. guitar OWNERS.

Jeebus, Buddy, if you quit people like me would have to lop off a hand or something equally extreme for something approaching parity of response. I really appreciate your chops, and respect your attitude. Come to Atlanta so I can loan you my Galaxie. It needs to sound good at least once in a while. :-)
