I'm a new Mazerati owner and I really love the amp. It's really taken me by storm. The thing I just noticed is while I had the amp on standby for about 20 min I felt the front face plate and it was really hot! Is this normal? It played fine but at a standing idle it really was hot!
Will the heat take it's toll on a 45 min set running the amp hard?
Just wondering if anybody can chime in.

Every Z i've owned (Rati, Ray, RxEs, Maz Sr) all ran pretty hot...... I swear I could cook a steak on my Ray sometimes at the end of the night it's so hot.
As mentioned above, thats what makes 'em sound so good.........To eleborate, EL84 amps in general run pretty hot, thats the nature of the EL84 tube and thats why they dont last as long as other power tubes (6l6, 6V6, EL34, ect...).
As long as all the tubes are lit up about the same and you dont see any "weirdness" going on or arking (sp), you should be fine.

Unless you live in Arkansas, that shouldn't be a problem. ;D
