Hi, I just noticed something and I'm a little worried something could be wrong. I LOVE this amp, and I want to make sure it stays is great shape.
The amp actually sounds fine, no noticeable issues at at all, in fact it sounds great - but if I'm on the 45 side and I turn turn the 65 side gain up past 2 o'clock, it will effect the 45 side's tone - almost puts this underlying distortion to the tone. Meaning, I can't get a clean sound on the 45 side if the 65 side gain is cranked.
Thoughts?

Tried mine out last night. No issues present on my head. I ran the 65 side with gain all the way up and volume at 1:00. The KT-45 side I ran the bass adn treb at 11:00 and volume at 1:00. No issues getting a clean tone out of the KT-45 side.
What settings are you running on both sides of the amp?

Hmm, thanks for checking Paul. I can turn the 45 side down to whisper level and there is still distortion if I have the 65 gain cranked (45 tone controls are both near 12). I'm going to give the Dr. a call and maybe have him service the amp. Seriously need to keep this baby in good shape.

Tried my 6545, no matter what I did I couldn't make either channel affect the other. I've had preamp tubes leak into channels on other amps. Far as I know the only shared preamp tube on the 6545 is the PI. Try the amp with a different footswitch. Other than that all I can think is a leaking capacitor.

I received this very amp Monday and It definitely has a bleed through issue. If you are on the Kt side and you turn up the gain on the 65 side it changes the tone and adds an underlying distortion to the 45 side.
I was really hoping this would be the one but I need to spend some time with tubes and maybe send it in for a checkup.
and yes I tried a different footswitch, mine has an LED in it does any one else's? and yes I tried one without an LED
thanks for any help guys rp

I would suggest sending it in for a checkup. The two sides should be independent and not effect each other. My pedal does not have an LED. Hope it's nothing big, but there is definitely something going on there. Good luck.

Thanks for the info on the footswitch. I sent an e-mail to repairs last week and still waiting for a response. My Rx es is in for a tune up at the moment, when it gets back I'll definitely send the 6545 in as well.
