At this point I think I prefer single coils. Because of the amp having only 2 knobs and all, I have been doing a lot of knob twiddling on the guitar to get different tones. I couldn't help but notice that my single coil guitars seem to clean up better and retain more sparkle when the guitar volume is lowered.

Les Pauls sound killer with the GT. Makes even my stock burstbuckers sound great.

Humbuckers so far, but only the milder ones like PAFs copies or Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro's.

P-90's *kill* with this amp. I've got a Hamer Special K that just screams when dimed but cleans up like my Strat when rolled off.

I've got to say single-coils. I just picked up a Grosh Retro Classic with Fralin Blues Specials in the neck and middle positions, with a steel-pole 43 in the bridge.
This thing goes from clean to scream with a flick of the five-way or a twist of the volume knob! Awesome! ;D
Before this I was playing through the amp with a PRS SC245. Great guitar, but too much of a good thing, ya know?
