I think the Jr. is the one for me. Just one last question. How does it work as a slide amp?

One more question, mainly for Steve. I've been listening to some of the RXES clips on you site, and I was wondering if the Jr. can get the same big, fat, harmonic complexity that the ES has.

The Jr is startling in its similarity to the ES. Plug in to a Z-Best and you'll swear you have an ES in there - the bottom end is big and fat and the top has all the same chime as its father. I would not be able to pick out which is which in a blindfold test until you got the ES up to full volume.

It's amazing how much bottom end this amp has. I actually keep my bass below 12:00. This is the first amp I've ever owned where I keep the bass that low!
And talk about harmonic richness. I keep getting guitar players coming up to me talking about how good I sound. I just wish they'd say that about my playing!

So, besides a Z Best what's the best cab for the Jr? Also, what're the best speakers for it. For a cab, I'm thinking about a Port City or JDesign, but I'm open to suggestions. For speakers, I'm thinking a Greenback would be good for now, but I'd probably end up replacing it with a Blue, Scumback, or Tone Tubby.

Well this is the good news with this amp - it sounds great with every speaker I've tried here. That includes the Alnico Blue, the Alnico Gold, the Weber ceramic Blue Dog, the Weber Alnico California, the Alnico Tone Tubby, the Celestion G12H, the Celestion V30 - they all sound pretty good. But this is only a 15 watt amp, so depending on what you're trying to do, you might want to focus on either the more efficient, or less efficient speakers.
Right now I'm using mine with the V30 in my Z Convertible with the back closed and it's sounding great. But I'm thinking about putting one of my Golds in there to see how it does in that cab. I already know it sounds great with the Gold in my THD 2x12 cab.
