Well, I wonder if Don and Phil will be receiving a sales commission check? The little jam we had this weekend sold me on the Rx Jr. I got a blonde to match the Maz Jr.
Should be here Thursday. ;D ;D ;D
I think Humbucker music has another for anyone else that just can't resist...

You dog! Congratulations! Amy's comment was "I'm surprised you don't have one already!". I've got major GAS for the Jr too, but I just got the GT. Amy's a saint, buy even I don't want to push my luck that much! Phil

Yeah, I think you have enough to keep you busy for awhile I just found out they don't actually have the blonde in stock, so I'm getting black. I don't really care - an Rx Jr in any other color will sound as sweet...

I don't have a Gold, but I did play Don's through a Gold. It sounded great. I'm going to try it with my Blue Dog as well as my ZBest with a Greenback in it. If I like the Greenback, I may try one of Weber's 1225 in alnico...

Congrats Andy... was purty cool huh?? ;D
I'm GLAD I'm not the only one hearing how great this amp is!
It's a really special amp IMHO.
Love to hear your thought on it when ya get it and try it with the Blue and greenback... sounds nice with the greenbacks and the Gold, silverbell, bluedogs, blues, G12-H30...

So far, so great! ;D ;D I only had 30 minutes or so with it and I'm off to hockey, but I'll give a bigger workout this weekend.
I thought I would try using the overdose as a lead boost, but that kicks it up quite a bit! I may get some dirty looks from the rest of the band / soundman if I do (of course, I'm going to try it anyway).

Yeah, the boost is essentially doubling the db level. I just play with it on all the time or with it off...still working on that part of the amp. I'm still dialing in my sound, but I really can't get this thing to sound bad...it's trying to decide which good sound to stick with.

It funny because, I thought I had it figured out... I played a strat through it and I loved it with the OD on all the time, as I did with my Teles ummmm ...and Gibsons, but then I went back the the 335 with the OD off and .... I don't want to say it's confusing, it just has so many variables going for it. EXTREMELY versatile to the point that I am having a blast playing with it by myself... Just like when I was a kid!
I had a very cool Grant Green sound going!
I can get alot of the same sounds with my Maz Jrs. but it's easier going from one sound to another with more simplicity with this baby.

By the way - I wanted to mention how easy it was to deal with Humbucker Music. I placed the order on-line, but they called a couple times to clear some things up. They also packed the box the amp came in a bigger box - nothing was going to happen to that amp on the way to me!

I have a Maz Jr combo always kind of wanted a head for different situations, but didn't really want the same amp. The Rx Jr is similar, but has something different with that percussive thing going on. I think it actually sounds closer to the Ghia. Kind of like a Swiss Army Ghia! ;D
