So I got it today. I've only spent an hour with it thus far (had to pick up the daughter after work).
So far I'm impressed. It's way better than what I was borrowing...a Pacific cab with a 200 watt EV. That thing was flat compared to the new cab.
Great full sound and decent amount of low end thump being closed. Take off the back and the cab really opens up, which is to be expected. It came with a V30 and I had asked for a G12H...I guess that's my only complaint. I'll call Eric tomorrow and see what happened there. I may stick a Weber Blue Dog in there in the future.
Going to play with the band tomorrow night. I'll get back and give a full report.

So I played with a band last night and got to crank the Jr through the cab a bit (I did some low volume speaker break in at home before hand). I must say I really like the cab. I left it closed the entire practice.
The cab has a good full sound to it. It's a fairly decent size cab for a 12 inch speaker so I'm guessing this helps. I've played a Zbest once and loved that thing and would say I prefer it, but just don't need that much volume. So the 112 is the next best thing.
For the most part I played the Jr w/o the boost on, but when I engaged it for leads the low end really thumped. I think I'll be one of those guys that either leaves it on all the time or off. That way I have an eq setting I can live with for the entire set. I prefer using my Keeley boost to control my volume for lead work. If you open the cab up I'm sure some of the thump goes away.
The cleans were nice and full. The Jr is a bit punchy (in a good way) and is something I'm getting use to. My sound guy loved the cleans with the other cab I was using and the Z makes that one sound like junk in comparison.
This cab has a V30 in it. I don't know a ton about speakers, but it does seem to miss a bit on the low end. For now it's a pretty chimey mid/treb sound. Don't get me wrong...there is low end, but just not as much as I expected. This will change as the speaker breaks in. I'm wishing I had a G12H in it. That's what I had asked for, but somewhere in the line of communication that was missed. I may put a Weber BlueDog in it some day in the far off future.
So I really like the cab. I have to get use to so many things at once I know it will take some time to find "my sound". I also like the fact that you can open and close this thing. Really diversifies the sound and feel options. I can say the build seems to be high quality and the matching cloth and tolex is a nice look (got compliments on that too). I'll try to post some pix later today.
I'll try to answer any questions for you guys. I feel a little inadequate in comparison to most of you guys on the forum. I've played for over 15 years, but never had tons of gear to compare and contrast to. The Jr is the third amp I've owned! I've borrowed others, but my "tone" experience is limited.
Hope this helps. Chris

Thanks guys. It's black and tan. It's so pretty I hate moving it around in fear of scratching it up! Got to get me some StudioSlips.

I called Eric today about the speaker mix up. He's taking care of it with no hassle. He told me to hold on to my current cab until he got another one to me next week. I must say the customer service of both Z and Willcutts is outstanding. I'll buy from them again!

Hey guys; I just got my Convertable cab With a V 30 and it was gonna have a G12H just like 95 strat did...I put a G12H in it and it's a tad warmer. Watch out using the stock screws they are a little too long so I got screws 1/4 inch shorter. The long stock ones almost poked through the grill cloth!!! but I had my hand on the grill after I put one in just to check..That could have ripped it. A close call.. Just wanted other Z Bros. to know. As usual Dr. Z grear it GREAT

The V30 isn't bad it's just one of those speakers that you either love or hate. I'll sticker a Weber Blue Dog in my cab one of these days...going to give the G12 a good work out first.
