Is the Master Volume a MV or an Attenuator?

Yeah, I was wondering about that too.

Hmmm, I didn't think about that. I believe it's a MV...at least as far as I can tell.

Yes Post Phase Inverter Dual Ganged Master Volume, one of the Trainwreck MV's.
It does sound/ work like an Airbrake.

Thanks Doc.
I'm actually thinking of getting rid of my Airbrake because the MV works so well.

BEST Master Volume I've ever played. I can't believe all MV amps don't have this... no WONDER all the hatred for MV's over the years! GREAT job, Doc. And Ken -RIP.

I'm looking at pictures of the Rx Jr., and I don't see the MV. Is it on the back panel?

I was glad to see that Doc decided to design a built-in MV feature on RxJr.

I'd love one of these Master Volumes on my StangRay!
It would be nice to have the StangRay with this kind of MV and a way to completely bypass it with a push or pull of the knob. I love my StangRay but I have to use it with an attenuator.

You're gonna love it mate. Can't say enough good about the sound of this amp along with the control you with the MV. The wait is worth every second.

I was bummed at first to hear the Jr. was a MV amp, but now it sounds like the original dynamic ES spirit lives on in the Jr. ( if indeed the MV is nothing more than an attenuator ) I guess I'm going to have to try one out. Next question is: How hard would it be to add that same MV to the full strength ES ?

Doc if your still listening (reading). I thought Ken wasn't big on the master volume idea, at least nothing ever showed up on the Komets. By the way is that something that can be done to a Komet 60 ? Thanks Paul
