RoscoeNYC-that's a sharp looking cab and the weight is awesome! How's the neo getting along with the Ghia? More amp tone and less speaker color?

Roscoe - Am I hearing you right, in that there is a 12" speaker in that little cab? Or it it a 10"?

Yep, it's a 12" Eminence Lil' Texas NEO. 27 pounds total. 11 pound weight reduction from the Plywood Cab and the 10" Red Fang.

Peter Mather at Mather Cabs does a great job. I'm super excited about being able to use the Z on more gigs. For me, bouncing around the city, 11 pounds is a big deal.

I hear you - I'm in a similar situation - I live in DC, and usually walk to practices, etc. Right now, the Ghia just isn't even a candidate to bring out. Not when my Swart AST is 22 lbs. lighter (29 lb. 1x12 combo). If I could get the Ghia down to about that weight, or even a few lbs. over that, it would certainly get in on the fun.
Not that I'm complaining about playing through the Swart - Its like comparing a good California Cabernet to a good Oregon Pinot Noir - different, but both awfully tasty.

I'll be down there in DC on Friday at Hill Country BBQ with my newly modified Ghia playing with Chris Berardo & the DesBerardos. Also playing with the opener Mark McKay. If you can make it please say hello!

Thanks! I used to get funny looks when I brought such a tiny amp to play in the band. Now I mostly get "Could you turn it down a bit?" Both punch well above their weights.
