Yours Truly! Warmoth neck - Vodoo pickups - Japanese Maple top swamp Ash body Well, to be honest, I did most of it until I fried the neck pickup and took it to a local luthier to do the soldering and fix any of my screw-ups When I got it back - Wow! Plays amazingly!

T-Bar I know that rig has to sound great. Very nice. Is that a '59 Reissue Les Paul?

It's a 2003 R9, Ice Tea finish. I have been very pleased with it. It matches very well with the Ghia. Very thick tones that have a nice edge.

Here's a picture of my Ghia & Avatar 2x12 being played by my buddy Gordy Quist while playing with his band The Band of Heathens at Dan's Silverleaf in Denton. The Heathens are from Austin and winners of the 2006-2007 Austin Music Awards "Best New Band". Check them out if you ever get a chance.

DaSkip that might be one of the best looking amps I have ever seen. Does his black tolex match the good Dr's heads?

Well I this amp built as a tribute to my dad. I lost him about a year and a half back. He loved to work with wood and taught me alot about carpentry. So I got a piece of wood out of their garage, contacted Brent and Jeff, asked what rough dimension they needed and sent the pieces of wood to them. They did all the work. I am very thankful to the Dr. Z folks and to Jeff.

Man is it sharp lookin'! I'm sure your dad would be proud. Better get a case or some good covers, and some Murphy's Oil Soap and start rubbin' it in! My granddad was the carpenter in our family, but it all stopped with him, I can't drive a nail straight.

The Wildkat that he's playing was actually mine that I sold to Gordy after that very show. You can see (& more importantly hear) the Wildkat & Ghia combo from that very show. Click here.
