This hasn't happened to me since I had a Fender Blues Deluxe 10 years ago, but since I got a second cab for my Ghia I'm picking up a radio station. Does it have something to do with using two 1x12 cabs? I know location probably has something to do with it, because I know with the Fender it only happened when I played at certain locations. Is there any way to block these signals?

Check your speaker cable. Move it around a little and see what happens, it could be too long or faulty.

Thanks Lefty. The cables are brand new Planet Wave 5 footers. I'll try shifting them around or wrapping them up. I know it was okay with one box, but I picked up the signal when I added the second box, so that extra cable may be the booger.

I went in and uncurled the cables and that got rid of the radio station. I think the main culprit was the cable still curled up a bit behind the head. El Paso has more AM stations than most states do. Thanks again for the suggestion to check the cables.

Yea you made yourself a little radio antennae. I had a police scanner that would pick up cordless phones...made for some interesting listening.

was it one of those real loud Mexican AM (ah emmeh) stations? With lots of RREEVVEERRBB?? LA FABULOSA! LA PRECIOSA! Rahdio KA-EH-ESSAY-ESSAY! Can't buy FX like that! Better coil that cord back up!

A little off topic but years ago on probably their second US tour I went to see Jethro Tull. (The first time they played K C they were with the original Fleetwood Mac and Joe Cocker. One of the best concerts I ever saw). It looked like whoever put together the PA pulled together all of the JBL and McIntosh stuff they could find to build the PA. On one of those dramatic breaks when Ian Anderson is standing one one leg for a dramatic flute fill, the band stops and out of the PA comes a local cop on his radio saying"Yea, I'm gonna go down there and get me some of them tacos". Ian looked sideways at the PA speakers. Everybody broke out laughing, and then they just went on with the concert. Funny stuff!

Expanding on BW's idea of special FX - maybe I could work the whole thing into a hip hop spin.
