Hey guys,
When biasing the Route 66 with the Groove Tubes Bias Tool where should the vol, treb and bass be set? ...or does it even matter?

Volume off Nothing in the imput jack Speaker connected
Treb and bass do not matter
I personally prefer 32 to 33 mA FWIW.

I've tried 30 up to 38 mA on three of the four 66's I've had...and 32/33mA is where I like them.
Seems to be the smoothest and most touch sensitive to me and the way I whack'em.

I've been running mine at 32mA but it seems I've lost a screen grid resistor 'cuz 2 sets of tubes burnt up.

DC here!
According to Doc-Z - anything between 26 to 40 mA is perfectly safe. Stay below 40 mA though.
If you've managed to fry one grid resistor - any set of KT66 tubes wont last long.

I should have her home in a couple of days with a brand new set of Penta KT66's in her and ready to go.
