Hey guys, My Maz 38 Sr. is blowing the 3 amp main fuse quite repeatedly. Here's what I see happening. When I turn the amp to standby, all is fine while it is warming up, but as soon as I hit the power switch, there is an electrical arc (spark) inside the rectifier tube and that's when the fuse blows. I've been emailing the Doc and he was saying that the 3 amp fuse has nothing to do with the rectifier tube, is that true? What should I do? I don't like my Z being out of commission Thanks!

Get a bunch of fuses - change the rectifier tube - after that change the power-tubes. After that..... send the amp to Doc or another good amptech.

Actually ... if you have no way to check the output tubes and to keep from going back and forth .... Replace the rectifer AND the output tubes .... and the fuse.
