I'm hearing radio stations on my original Rx when I crank it. Or if I have a treble booster on with the Expand switch active.
Any ideas on the cause and/or a fix?
Thanks for any info.

No fix other than try to move the amp to a different room or position , it's RF interference. And it's very normal for your treble booster.

Is this one of the things that tightening loose chasis screws would help?

The amp itself should have the standard RF Shield foil between the cab and the open end or underside of the chassis so that when the screws are tightened it makes good contact

An interesting discovery...
When I turn on the boost channel the radio disappears. Also, when I unplug the footswitch from the footswitch jack, the radio disappears.

According to the Doc, the length of the cord on the footswitch happens to be the length of antenna you need to pick up a local station. So shortening it should fix the problem.

I tried a friends Duncan pickup booster pedal once and it picked one of the local AM stations as well as an actual radio. Never did figure out how to change stations though.

Back in the '60's we had a stove that picked up our local am radio station on occasion...go figure.

I swear some nights when I go to bed I can hear a radio station in my head! I can never quite make out the songs or the Dj's voice but if I had a radio nearby I could find the station... Must be picking it up through my fillings or something...or maybe I'm just a little strange in the head! ;D

Don't worry Jaye. Call me upp on the phone next time you pick up a song that way and I'll do harmonies on top. My neighbours are used to me by now. ;D Cheers: Dixiechicken
